Dring Dong values Your trust. In order to uphold that trust, Dring Dong adheres to ethical standards in collecting, using, and safeguarding any information You provide. Dring Dong respects and acknowledges Your right to confidentiality and is dedicated to protecting and preserving Your privacy. Subject to the provisions of this privacy policy (“Policy”) and applicable law, Dring Dong may collect, receive, store, handle, and share Personal Information, including Sensitive Personal Data and Non-Personal Information, related to the Users of the Platform/Services. This Policy delineates the information Dring Dong may process and utilize to enhance the User experience while using the Platform/Services.

This Policy governs Your utilization of the application ‘Dring Dong’ (“Application”), https://www.dringdong.com/ (“Website”), and other platforms provided, owned, or operated by the Company (collectively the “Platform”).

Please carefully review this privacy policy (“Policy”) before using the Platform, in conjunction with the Terms of Use (“ToU”) presented on the Platform, which is part of the User Agreement. Your engagement with the Platform, services associated with the Platform or Services, or registrations with us through any means, or use of any products, including SD cards, tablets, or other storage/transmitting devices, indicates your acceptance of this Policy and Your agreement to be legally bound by it. Your use of the Platform on any electronic form or device is subject to the terms and conditions outlined and consented to herein with Your voluntary and informed consent.

If You do not wish to agree to any of the terms and conditions of this Policy, please refrain from using the Platform or the Services.

Definitions

 

Key Definitions: For the purposes of this Policy, unless the context otherwise requires:

Corporate Affiliate: Refers to any person or entity that directly or indirectly controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with Dring Dong, whether through ownership or other means.

 

Company: When this Policy mentions “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” it pertains to Webmass Digital (OPC) Pvt. Ltd., located at CM-20, Second Floor, Sector-122, Noida, Uttar Pradesh-201316, India which is accountable for your information under this Privacy Policy.

 

Information: Encompasses both Non-Personal Information and Personal Information collectively.

 

Non-Personal Information: within Dring Dong's context includes:

 
  • Geographic location of a User.
  • Internet Protocol (IP) address of the User.
  • Details of the User’s telecom service provider or internet service provider.
  • Device information, such as the operating system and hardware model, and the website visited before accessing the Platform.
  • The type of internet browser used by the User.
  • Clickstream data related to User activity on the Platform, including the duration of stay, date and time of access.

Personal Information: refers to any information concerning Users that, either directly or indirectly, in conjunction with other available or potential information held by Dring Dong, can identify such Users. This category encompasses the Sensitive Personal Data of the User.

 

Sensitive Personal Data: concerning a User includes information related to:

 
  • Passwords.
  • Financial details like bank account, credit card, debit card, or other payment instrument information.
  • Physical, physiological, and mental health conditions.
  • Medical data, records, and history.
  • Biometric information.
  • Any details pertaining to the above clauses provided to Dring Dong for service provision.
  • Any information received under the above clauses by Dring Dong for processing, storage, or lawful contract purposes.

It is important to note that any information freely available in the public domain or disclosed under specific laws like the Right to Information Act, 2005, is not considered Sensitive Personal Data or Personal Information under this Policy. Terms not defined herein shall carry the meanings ascribed to them in the Terms of Use.

Information collected by the Company

 

Dring Dong obtains Information (including Personal Information) when You download, register, or use the Platform/Services provided by Dring Dong. When You register with Dring Dong or use the Platform, You generally provide:

    • Your name, age, email address, phone number, and password.
         
      1. Information that is typically provided when You contact us for help.
      2. Information You enter into our system when using the Platform.
      3. Bank account, credit card, debit card, or other payment instrument details while making payments on the Platform (if applicable).
      4. The information above is necessary to allow Dring Dong to operate the Platform and provide the Services to the Users. With it, Dring Dong may be able to give you all the requested Services or access to the Platform, which could result in You having to cease using the Platform.

The Platform may collect certain Information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile device's unique device ID, the IP address of Your mobile device, Your mobile operating system, and the type of mobile internet browsers You use.

You may choose to use certain features on Your mobile devices to provide Dring Dong with additional Information in order to obtain a better user experience when using the Platform:

 
      1. Phonebook (contacts list): Access to the User's contact list allows the Application to be more user-friendly, as accessing contacts directly from the Application saves time.
      2. Camera (pictures): Granting camera permission allows the User to use the camera and upload any picture directly to the Application.
      3. Photo gallery (pictures): Granting photo gallery access allows the User to upload any image from their photo gallery on the Application.

      • You can provide Dring Dong (through the Platform) with additional Information to obtain a better user experience when using the Platform. This extra information will be processed based on Your consent:

    • Additional Profile Information: You may choose to provide further information as part of Your profile.
    • Other Information: You may otherwise choose to provide Dring Dong information when You fill in a form, conduct a search, update or add information to Your account, respond to surveys, post to community forums, participate in promotions, or use other features of the Platform.
    • Non-Personal Information: Dring Dong may also collect Non-Personal Information for identification purposes or to measure site traffic, which may be collected through various ways including through the use of cookies.

Dring Dong may also receive Information about You from third parties and social media services (such as Facebook and Google), commercially available sources, and business partners. The information we collect may include Your user name associated with that social media service, any information or content the social media service has the right to share with us, such as Your profile picture, email address or friends list, and any information You have made public in connection with that social media service. You can control the extent of information that social media services make public by visiting these website(s)/application(s) and changing Your privacy settings.

Usage of Information Collected

Dring Dong uses, stores, and processes Information, including Personal Information, about You to:

    Facilitate the use of the Platform and utilize the Personal Information to provide the User with the Services.

    Personalize the Services provided based on the Information collected.

    Utilize Your contact details to respond to Your inquiries and send You announcements/promotions related to the Platform/Services.

    Periodically transmit aggregated and individual, anonymized and non-anonymized data to external service providers to enhance Dring Dong's Platform/Services.

    Dring Dong further uses Your Information to enhance our products and services. We may combine individual data and behaviour patterns with Your Personal Information to provide personalized content and improve Your experience. Certain third parties provide services that Dring Dong uses to analyze the data and information You provide in order to personalize, gain insights, enhance Your experience, or offer more valuable applications, products, information and services. However, these third-party companies do not have any independent right to share this information further. We do not sell, trade or rent Your Information to any third party unless we have been expressly authorized by You, either in writing or electronically, to do so. We may occasionally provide aggregate statistics about customers, traffic patterns, and related site information to reputable third parties, but this information will be disclosed in an aggregate form only.

    Share certain Personal Information with third parties who provide the Services or through whom the Services are provided.

    Offer various forms of communication, such as email, Platform notifications, SMS, and MMS, to inform You about promotions, features, affiliates, subsidiaries, business partners, advertisers, and sponsors.

    Send emails to Users who have authorized contact, allowing Users to unsubscribe at any time using the opt-out link included in the email.

    Use email addresses for customer audience targeting on platforms like Facebook for custom advertising to specific Users who have opted-in to receive communications.

    By submitting Your email address on Dring Dong's Platform, You consent to receive emails from us. You can unsubscribe from any of these email lists at any time by clicking on the opt-out link or other unsubscribe options included in the respective email. We only send emails to Users who have authorized us to contact them, either directly or through a third party. Additionally, You agree to allow us to use Your email address for customer audience targeting on platforms like Facebook, where we display customized advertising to specific Users who have opted-in to receive communications from us. Email addresses provided solely through the order processing page will be used exclusively to send You information and updates related to Your order. However, if You have provided the same email through another method, we may use it for any purposes outlined in this Policy. If You wish to stop receiving future emails at any time, detailed instructions for unsubscribing are included at the bottom of each email.

Storage and Processing of Information

  • Your Information will primarily be stored in electronic form within Dring Dong's systems. However, certain data may also be stored in physical form.
  • Dring Dong may store, collect, process, and use Your data in countries other than the Republic of India to the extent permitted by applicable laws.
  • Dring Dong may engage in agreements with third parties (both within and outside of India) to store or process Your Information in compliance with applicable law. These third parties may have their security protocols to protect Your Information, and Dring Dong will, on a commercially reasonable basis, mandate these third parties to adhere to reasonable security standards to safeguard Your Information in accordance with the requirements of applicable laws.

Sharing of Information

  • Dring Dong may share Your Information with our business partners and trusted service providers who work on our behalf, including partners and service providers located outside India.
  • Dring Dong may utilize and transfer/disclose/share Information to third parties supporting our business, such as hosting and maintaining servers and the Platform, database storage and management, e-mail management, storage marketing, credit card processing, customer service, and order fulfilment for products and services. You may purchase through the Platform. Portions of log file data, including IP addresses, may be shared with third parties for analytics purposes, such as web analytics partners, application developers, and ad networks.
  • These third-party entities do not independently use the Information disclosed by Dring Dong and do not further transfer or publish the Information shared with them. They have agreed to comply with the rules outlined in this Policy and applicable laws, including implementing adequate security measures for the Information shared with them.
  • Furthermore, You have the option to revoke Your consent to share information with third parties working with Dring Dong at any time. Upon revocation of such consent, Dring Dong may not be able to provide You with the Services or access to the Platform. It is important to note that Dring Dong shall not be held responsible or liable for any actions of third parties receiving Information.
  • Dring Dong may also share Your Information with current and future affiliated companies and business partners. In the event of a merger, asset sale, or other business reorganization, Your Information may be shared or transferred to our successors-in-interest.
  • Your Information may be shared to fulfill our obligations under applicable laws, respond to court orders or summons, government agency requests, or investigations into potential fraud. Dring Dong reserves the right to disclose Your Information as required by law, regulation, or legal obligations or in response to requests from law enforcement or governmental agencies to establish legal rights, defend against legal claims, or address illegal activities, suspected fraud, or threats to physical safety.

Retention of Information

  • Dring Dong retains User Information while a User's account is active on its Platform and for a period after that to meet legal, compliance, and business requirements as outlined in this Policy.
  • Dring Dong may adjust this practice based on legal and business needs and to fulfil the purposes detailed in this Policy. For instance, it may extend the retention period for certain data to comply with applicable laws or voluntary codes of conduct. Conversely, it may shorten the retention period for specific data types to optimize storage space.
  • Once the Information is no longer necessary for operational purposes and compliance requirements, Dring Dong either deletes it from its systems or anonymizes it to prevent identification of the User.

Security of Information

  • The security of Your Personal Information is a top priority for Dring Dong. Dring Dong is dedicated to safeguarding Your Personal Information and ensuring protection against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. To achieve this, Dring Dong conducts internal reviews of data collection, storage, and processing practices, implementing security measures like anonymization, encryption, and physical security to prevent unauthorized access to systems storing Your Personal Information. Dring Dong adheres to reasonable security practices and procedures mandated by applicable laws for Information protection. Your right to claim damages is limited to statutory damages under the Information Technology Act, 2000. You release all Dring Dong entities from any claims of damages under contract or tort, as permitted by applicable laws.
  • Dring Dong provides a secure server for data transmission. Sensitive/credit information is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and stored in payment gateway providers' databases accessible only to authorized personnel with confidentiality obligations. After a transaction, Your Personal Information is not retained.
  • Access to Information is restricted to employees, agents, contractors, and third parties on a 'need-to-know basis' to fulfil tasks related to service provision. Service providers process Information based on Dring Dong's instructions, maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection laws.
  • Dring Dong may share Your Information with third parties under a confidentiality agreement ensuring non-disclosure unless for purposes outlined in this Policy. Dring Dong disclaims responsibility for security breaches or actions of third parties receiving Your Personal Information, including third-party websites linked to the Platform.
  • While Dring Dong takes reasonable steps to secure Personal Information and prevent unauthorized access, absolute security cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of the internet and computer networks.
  • Dring Dong shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or misuse of Your Personal Information due to force majeure events, as permissible under applicable laws.

DIAMOND PURCHASE AND REFUND POLICY

You can now license virtual digital goods (such as stickers, gifs, banners, etc) to our users ("Gifts"). You can send such gifts by acquiring Diamonds using Dring Dong's authorized payment methods and through payment providers made available and authorized by Dring Dong.

Purchasing Diamonds

The price of the Diamonds will be displayed at the point of purchase on Dring Dong's platform. All charges and payments for Diamonds will be made in the currency specified at the end of the sale through the relevant payment mechanism as set out by Dring Dong.

You will be responsible for the payment of any Diamonds purchased by you. Once your payment has been made, your user account will be credited with the number of Diamonds purchased.

Once the Diamonds or any service is purchased successfully on the platform, it cannot be refunded in any manner.

Usage of Diamonds

Diamonds can be used to gift creators and users and purchase other digital goods like stickers and badges on Dring Dong's platform. Diamonds can also be used to buy frames and wallpapers. Diamonds cannot be exchanged for cash, legal tender, currency of any state, region, political entity, or any other form of credit

Diamonds can only be used on Dring Dong's platform and as part of their Services. They cannot be combined or used with other promotions, coupons, discounts or special offers except those designated by Dring Dong.

Diamonds are non-transferable between users or to any third party. Selling, bartering, assigning, or otherwise disposing of Diamonds, other than by Dring Dong, is prohibited. Violations may result in account termination, forfeiture of Diamonds, and liability for damages, litigation and transaction costs.

Accrued Diamonds do not constitute property and are non-transferable upon death, as part of a domestic relations matter, or by operation of law.

Dring Dong reserves the right to manage, regulate, control, modify and eliminate Diamonds if they have a valid reason, such as a reasonable belief that the user has violated the Diamonds Policy, is in breach of applicable law or regulation, or for legal, security or technical reasons. Dring Dong will not be liable for exercising this right. If Dring Dong decides to eliminate Diamonds, they will provide reasonable notice to users.

Purchasing Gifts

Gifts represent a limited license to specific features of digital products and services on Dring Dong's platform. The conversion/redemption rate between each Diamond and Gift will be clearly displayed on the Platform. Published prices include taxes as required by applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

Dring Dong retains the absolute right to manage, regulate, control, modify, and eliminate such exchange rates as deemed appropriate in their sole discretion in any general or specific case. Dring Dong will not be liable for any consequences resulting from the exercise of this right.

All conversions/redemptions of Diamonds into Gifts on Dring Dong's platform are final, and no refunds are offered. Gifts cannot be converted into Diamonds, cash, or refunded by Dring Dong for any reason. Gifts exchanged or received by users are non-transferable upon death, as part of a domestic relations matter, or by operation of law.

In cases where Gifts are corrupted or damaged, Dring Dong may replace them at their discretion without charging additional fees. Dring Dong reserves the right to take action against users who abuse the Diamonds Feature or violate the Diamonds Policy. Users are prohibited from using any Gift or Diamond in place of receiving goods or services from any user on Dring Dong's platform or elsewhere.

NOTE TO USERS

Diamonds and Gifts on Dring Dong's platform are not considered individual goods for purchase by users but are viewed as licensed access to items provided by the Platform. Upon deleting your account from Dring Dong's Platform, Diamonds and Gifts associated with your account will be removed.

Diamonds cannot be used for trading online. Users bear full responsibility for the Diamonds and Gifts purchased on the Platform, and Dring Dong disclaims any liability or responsibility regarding such Diamonds and Gifts.

Dring Dong reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, what constitutes a violation of its policies. They also reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to modify sections of this Diamonds Purchase and Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on the relevant page, with the date of the last update indicated at the top of the page

Purchasing Diamonds

You will be responsible for the payment of any Diamonds purchased by you. Once your payment has been made, your user account will be credited with the number of Diamonds purchased.

Once the Diamonds or any service is purchased successfully on the platform, it cannot be refunded in any manner.

How can you delete your data from Dring Dong?

According to Facebook policy, we have to provide User Data Deletion options.

  • Go to your App Profile
  • Click “Settings”
  • Then click “Contact Us”.

Your Rights

Users may exercise any of the rights described in this section by logging into the Application and then following these steps:

  • Go to 'App Profile'
  • Click 'Settings'.
  • Click 'Contact Us'.

Write to us at info@dringdong.com with Your profile account details. Please note that we may ask You to verify Your identity before taking further action on Your request.

Managing Your Information

Dring Dong will provide You with the means to ensure that Your Information is correct and current. If You have filled out a user profile, Dring Dong will offer an obvious way for You to access and change Your profile from the Platform. Dring Dong adopts stringent security measures to protect Your password from being exposed or disclosed to anyone. Upon forgetting the password for Your profile on the Platform, Dring Dong will have the right to reset the same for You with Your prior approval as per standard web practices. You are responsible for keeping Your Personal Information up-to-date.

Rectification of Inaccurate or Incomplete Information

You have the right to ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete Personal Information concerning You (and which You cannot update yourself within Your account).

Data Retention and Erasure

If You no longer want Dring Dong to use Your Personal Information to provide Services/access to the Platform, You can request that we erase Your Personal Information and close Your account. However, any requests for erasure will be acted upon in accordance with applicable law and may adversely impact Dring Dong's ability to provide Services to You.

You, at this moment, agree and acknowledge that a mere request for erasure does not guarantee the erasure of Personal Information; all such requests will be acted upon in accordance with applicable law alone.

Please note that if You request the erasure of Your Personal Information:

  • We may retain some of Your Personal Information as necessary for protecting our legitimate business interests, such as fraud detection and prevention and enhancing safety.
  • Information You have shared with others may continue to be publicly visible on the Platform, even after Your account is cancelled, but the attribution to You will be removed.
  • Residual copies of Your Information may remain in our database but are disassociated from personal identifiers.
  • We will not be required to delete de-identified information that can no longer reasonably identify a particular individual.

Withdrawing Consent and Restriction of Processing

Where You have provided Your consent to the processing of Your Personal Information by Dring Dong, You may withdraw Your consent at any time by changing Your account settings or by sending a communication to Dring Dong specifying (with reasonable detail) the consent You are withdrawing. Please note that the withdrawal of Your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing activities based on such consent before its withdrawal. Suppose You withdraw Your consent and restrict the processing of any Personal Information. In that case, Dring Dong may not be able to provide You with the Services (or any part thereof), and You may be required to cease to use the Services (or any part thereof).

Your Consent

Dring Dong believes that every User of the Platform/Services must be in a position to provide informed consent prior to providing any Information required for the use of the Platform/Services. By registering with Dring Dong, You are expressly consenting to the collection, processing, storing, disclosing, and handling of Your Information as set forth in this Policy now and as amended by us. You understand that processing Your Information includes, but is not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining, sharing, transferring, and disclosing Information. Suppose You disclose to us any personal information relating to other people. In that case, You represent that You have the authority to do so, and You permit us to use the information in accordance with this Policy. If You reside outside India, Your Information will be transferred, processed, and stored in accordance with the applicable data protection laws of India.

Changes To Our Policy

As Dring Dong evolves, this Policy will need to grow as well to cover new situations. You are advised to review this Policy regularly for any changes. Your continued use of our Platform/Services shall be deemed to provide Your approval and consent to all changes. If You do not agree to this Policy or any updated Policy, You may discontinue Your use of the Platform/Services or delete Your account.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on Your computer system. Once You agree, the file is added, and the cookie helps analyze web traffic or lets You know when You visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to You as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to Your needs, likes, and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about Your preferences.

We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyze data about webpage traffic and improve the Platform to tailor it to Users' needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes.

Clicking on these links may take You to third-party websites outside the Platform. However, once You have used any of these links to leave the Platform, Dring Dong does not have any control over that other website(s)/mobile application(s). You agree and acknowledge that third parties operate these websites/mobile applications and are not controlled by, affiliated with, or associated with Dring Dong unless expressly specified. Dring Dong is not responsible for any form of transmission received by You from any such third party. Accordingly, Dring Dong does not make any representations concerning the privacy practices or policies of such third parties or terms of use of such websites or mobile applications, nor does it control or guarantee the accuracy, integrity, or quality of the information available on such websites or mobile applications. Dring Dong encourages its Users to read the EULA/terms and conditions of each such third-party website that may collect their Personal Information.

Sale of Business

We reserve the right to transfer Information to a third party in the event of a sale, merger or other transfer of all or substantially all of the assets of Dring Dong or any of its Corporate Affiliates or that portion of Dring Dong or any of its Corporate Affiliates to which the Service relates, or in the event that we discontinue our business or file a petition or have filed against us a petition in bankruptcy, reorganization or similar proceeding, provided that the third party agrees to adhere to the terms of this Policy.

Corporate Affiliates

Dring Dong may disclose Information about You to its Corporate Affiliates. Those Corporate Affiliates will treat any Information relating to You that it provides to its Corporate Affiliates in accordance with the terms of this Policy.

Governing Law

The laws of India bind the regulations of this Policy without consideration of its conflict of laws principles. By accepting this Policy, You agree to the sole jurisdiction of the courts in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, for any disputes arising between the parties herein or in relation to this Policy, excluding individuals entitled to claims under the Privacy Shield or the Swiss-US framework.

Public Forums

When You utilize specific features on the Platform/Services, such as discussion forums, and You post or share any content like comments, messages, files, or photos, Your Information within such content will be accessible to all Users and will be in the public domain. All sharing of Information is at Your own risk. Kindly note that if You reveal Information in Your profile or when posting on any forums, this information may become publicly accessible.
